Richard L. Senasac

Biography

Richard L. Senasac is a seasoned civil law attorney who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his legal practice. By day, he is a dedicated advocate for his clients at Looney Smith Conrad & Hefti P.C., and by night, he enjoys the art of premium cigars—a passion that complements his appreciation for fine spirits and literature.

Born in Arcadia, California, across from the Santa Anita Race Track, Richard was recognized early for his gift of conversation, with his pediatrician famously remarking that he “must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.”

Richard earned his Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas, before pursuing his Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston Law Center, where he graduated in 1985. His commitment to legal scholarship and advocacy has made him a respected member of the legal community.

Richard has a deep passion for history, literature, and tobacco culture, having published articles on spirits, wines, and cigars. His knowledge and appreciation for fine cigars are reflected in his favorite Mark Twain quote on tobacco:

“As concerns tobacco, there are many superstitions, and the chiefest is this – that there is a standard governing the matter…. Each man’s preference is the only standard for him, the only one he can accept, the only one which can command him.”
Mark Twain, 1893

Richard embraces this philosophy and encourages others to enjoy their passions without reservation, whether that means savoring the rarest Habanas or relishing a classic Roi Tan.
