Biography

Carbett “Trey” J. Duhon III is a seasoned attorney and public servant, bringing extensive experience in civil law, public administration, and real estate transactions. Raised in Fort Bend County, Texas, Trey moved to Waller County in 2005, where he continues to reside and serve his community.

Trey graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 1995.

After law school, Trey began his legal career at Love & Associates in Fort Bend County, where he practiced from 1995 to 2005. He later established the Law Offices of Trey Duhon, where he serves as a fee attorney for American Title Company, handling real estate transactions and related legal matters.

Trey was elected Waller County Judge on January 1, 2015, where he has since played a significant role in local governance, infrastructure planning, and economic development. His leadership in public service has earned him recognition for protecting private property rights and contributions to community initiatives.

Trey’s family roots trace back to Abbeville, Louisiana, where his grandfather, Carbett Duhon Sr., served as a councilman for 21 years. He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Willow Creek Farms, between Katy and Brookshire.
